Here's a word from the director:

"THANK YOU to all who auditioned!

We had an extraordinary turnout of over 100 actors who auditioned for this production.

Please know that casting was very difficult and that there were many talented performers we were not able to include. I thank you for your willingness to spend your time with us, and I urge you to consider joining us for an audition in the future!

And...we are still seeking a few actors to join the large ensemble for our upcoming production of The Great White Hope, which plays on our Mainstage from April 1 to 18, 2010. If we were not able to include you in the Pride and Prejudice cast, I encourage you to consider auditioning for a role in this play. For more information, please e-mail John Catlos or call him at the Playhouse at (330) 836-2626 (extension 15)."

A note to the cast: "Script work" will take place Tuesday, Dec. 22 and Tuesday, Dec. 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Playhouse. Parents of the actors should plan to attend a mandatory parent meeting at the Playhouse on Tuesday, Dec. 29 from 4 to 4:30 p.m.

About the Show

All of the wit and romance of Jane Austen's classic 1813 novel come to life on the Weathervane stage in this refreshingly fast-paced and engaging adaptation by Jon Jory. Weathervane’s ensemble of young actors work in partnership with several adult actors to present the beloved tale of Elizabeth Bennet and her four sisters searching for suitable husbands in 18th Century England.
