Here are some comments from prior years' attendees of
"Dinners at Grafwick":

"Truly, the build up to the Grafwick Weathervane Gala Dinner did not do it justice. What an experience! You and your delightful crew have raised the dining stars to 10. It felt as though we were inside Architectural Digest...how do you do it? The entire dinner was beyond delicious; never have I experienced such attention to detail (and I had just returned from a trip to the Greenbriar in West Virginia). Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"Thank you for the warm hospitality and spectacular meal you presented to us. What a privilege to be part of such a memorable evening — it was nearly surreal!"

"It is more than likely perfectly obvious that everyone had a SUPER DUPER time last night! Your efforts were well appreciated as well as the efforts of your team. THANK YOU! Looking forward to next year!"

Two Awesome Shows at PlayhouseSquare — Combined for Your Theatrical Pleasure!

Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty is the critically acclaimed ballet that first made a splash in London's West End theater district. Now, American audiences will get to see why English critics have lavished so much praise on both this production and its incredibly talented director/choreographer, Matthew Bourne. Bourne’s haunting new production is a gothic romance; a supernatural love story that even the passage of time cannot hinder. This timeless fairy tale, about a young girl cursed to sleep for 100 years, was first turned into a legendary ballet in 1890. We meet our heroine, Aurora, at her Christening, when fairies and vampires fed the gothic imagination, before the story moves forward a century to the modern day. In America, we have the Tony Awards, but in Great Britain they hand out the Olivier Awards for outstanding achievement in theater. And Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty took home several Oliviers. In this groundbreaking work, the traditional story of good versus evil is turned upside-down, creating a supernatural love story — and all of it is accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score (in specially recorded surround sound). You'll see why Bourne is the only British artist to have won a Tony Award for both best choreographer and best director when you see this show at Cleveland's Palace Theatre in PlayhouseSquare — and you'll luxuriate in four loge seats courtesy of our friends at FirstEnergy. (Performance date: Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. This package includes two parking passes. Estimated retail value: $316)

Cleveland's PlayhouseSquare will be the first stop on the national tour of a new production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Starring as the Narrator will be Diana DeGarmo, who first broke on to the scene at the age of 16 (when she shined brightly on TV's American Idol). Since then, she has appeared on Broadway in Hair, 9 to 5 and Hairspray. If you're a fan of daytime TV's No. 1 rated soap opera, The Young and the Restless, you know her as "Angelina." Starring alongside DeGarmo is her real-life husband, Ace Young, who plays the title role of Joseph, the man with the fondness for a certain multi-color coat! Young is also a performer who first found fame as an American Idol contestant, and since then he has performed on Broadway in Grease and in Hair (during which he met DeGarmo). And what can we say about the show? Of course, Weathervane audiences know all about Joseph... (which will soon see its 14th consecutive annual production on the Weathervane stage!). But if you're a newcomer to the show, here's a quick catch-up: One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel's favorite son. The first collaboration of Andrew Lloyd Webber (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats) and Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Lion King), Joseph... blends pop, country and rock into an uplifting, Technicolored story of biblical proportions. You'll see why audiences never seem to tire of this delightful show when you see it from the comfort of four loge seats at the Palace Theatre at Cleveland's PlayhouseSquare, courtesy of our friends at FirstEnergy. (Performance date: Thursday, March 6, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. This package includes two parking passes. Estimated retail value: $316)

A 'Wicked' Night Out!

"Wicked"Have you seen the smash Broadway hit Wicked? If no, you are in for a real treat! The national tour of this Tony Award-winning musical blockbuster is coming back soon to Northeast Ohio — and we've got four awesome seats in the FirstEnergy box at at the beautifully restored State Theatre at PlayhouseSquare in downtown Cleveland! Back for a return engagement, this show has consistently sold out during its previous stops in Cleveland, so tickets will be hard to come by! What's that? You say you don't what this show is about? Well, here's the quick scoop on this clever and tuneful prequel of sorts to The Wizard of Oz: Long before that girl from Kansas arrived in Munchkinland, two girls met in the merry old land of Oz. One — born with emerald green skin — is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. How these two grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good makes for what USA Today declared to be "the most complete — and completely satisfying — new musical in a long time." (Performance date: Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at 8 p.m. This package includes two parking passes. Estimated retail value: $396)
