What is a Raise Your Paddle Auction?
It asks donors to “raise your paddle” to give a specific amount of cash to support the recipient’s organization as a whole or to support a specific need within that organization.

Our current soundboard is complicated for volunteers to use. Replacing our old soundboard with a new one will help to ensure that our staff and volunteers can more easily use it, and help to make it easier to run sound during our performances

Interns from The University of Akron:
Capitalizing on a win/win situation, Weathervane regularly hires students from The U of A Theater Arts Department to assist with all aspects of production. These students provide valuable support and receive, in exchange, a wealth of experience and an opportunity to become familiar with WV and its staff and volunteers.
Amount needed per intern: $1000

Backstage Monitors
Our current backstage monitors are out of date, and sometimes don't work as well as they should. New monitors would help the performers and band to be able to hear themselves, ensuring a better quality product on stage.
Amount needed: $2000

High-quality microphones are essential to successful productions at Weathervane. Even when handled with the utmost care, however, their delicate components can be unpredictable. A reserve of 8 to 10 is necessary to ensure that Weathervane has enough backup to cover any emergency.
Amount needed: $150 per microphone

TBA Production Footwear
Every character needs good dancing shoes. A solid inventory of character shoes would keep Weathervane's actors and dancers looking fresh and professional.
Amount needed: $100 per pair

Rolling Amps for Classes
Weathervane prides itself on its community outreach and educational programs. Portable amps that can integrate with computers and sound components further these goals by allowing our educators to go out into the community to share and promote our educational offerings and productions. They would also be used by our teachers during our various camps and classes.
Amount needed: $300

Defraying the cost of Laser Projectors
Weathervane is doing bigger and better productions and in order to keep up with current design trends and to help us to better serve our rental customers, Weathervane needs to purchase high-powered, short-throw projectors.
