Weathervane Playhouse's 75th Anniversary
Special Event
Date : 8/1/2010

In 2010, Weathervane Playhouse
 is 75 years young!

Join us Sunday, August 1, 2010
from 6 to 8 p.m at the Playhouse!

Come celebrate Weathervane's many years of drama, comedy, laughter and fellowship!

F We'll unveil some of the first of our "history panels," which highlight 75 years of amazing volunteerism and great performances.
F We'll serve a delicious 3-D cake -- in the shape of the Marshall Avenue "barn" that was Weathervane's first home (and whose rooftop rooster inspired the name of the Playhouse, too!) Or you can nibble on Erin Katz Ford's signature rooster cookies!

F
We'll present a staged reading of Gertrude Jennings's hilarious one-act farce, "The Bathroom Door," under the direction of Eileen Moushey.
Originally published in 1916, this play was also presented at the very first fundraising carnival that Weathervane's four founders held in July of 1935 in order to raise the seed money for the establishment of the Playhouse!

This special event is free and open to the public!

If you are coming, please help us to plan for the food and beverages we're providing by R.S.V.P.-ing!

To R.S.V.P., please call Barb Trotter at (330) 836-2626 (extension 29) or e-mail her.

This event is hosted by
 the Weathervane Playhouse Production Board.
