On Saturday, November 25, 2000, Akron's Weathervane Playhouse staged its first performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." Since that day, over 1,600 people, including Principal Cast, Artistic Staff, and Children's Choir Members and Directors, as well as thousands more parents, volunteers, and Playhouse staff have taken part in producing 338 Performance of the show for 74,542 Audience Members, making "Joe" an annual holiday tradition for the people of Akron and beyond.
