Come brush up on your ballet technique or try it for the first time! This mixed-level class will allow you to gain the important fundamentals of ballet to help you in all areas of dance in your auditions. This class is in collaboration with BALLET IN THE CITY!

Taught by our very own Fred Gloor, this class is perfect for actors wanting a fun space to explore their acting instincts, learn the building blocks of improv, and have a blast in the process!

Ballet in the City engages the best professional ballet dancers from across the globe. It produces and presents programming, performances, and events with these exceptional professionals, which bring the art up close and personal to ballet enthusiasts spanning generations.

The mission of Ballet in the City is to present professional ballet performances, educational opportunities, and events in cities around the nation, promoting and enhancing the culture of ballet, unique to each location.

Ballet in the City will engage and inspire individuals in the art of ballet and communicate the relevance and value of ballet, the results of which will endure for future generations.

Fred Gloor is the Associate Artistic Director and Marketing Director at Weathervane Playhouse. He has directed eight shows at Weathervane: The Play That Goes Wrong, Clue, The Who's Tommy, Noises Off, It's Only a Play, You Can't Take It With You, The Lyons, and 4000 Miles. He teaches Improv, Intro to Theatre, all levels of acting, and Theatre History at Tri-C West, and was a member of the Theatre and Dance Faculty at Baldwin Wallace University where he taught Intro to Theatre, Improv, and Script Analysis. A graduate of Kent State University, his other directing credits include shows at Cleveland Public Theatre, Dobama, French Creek Theatre, TitleWave, Charenton, The Second City Cleveland, CVLT, and Tri-C West. As an actor, he has performed at The Cleveland Play House, Great Lakes Theater, Dobama, The Beck Center, Cain Park, The Second City Cleveland, Chicago's Factory Theatre, The Ensemble Theatre, and as a cast member of Something Dada. A member of SAG-AFTRA, he has appeared in numerous commercials and such films as The Dream Catcher and Pirates with Leslie Nielsen, Eric Idle, and Rodney Dangerfield.
