JOIN US AS WE CELEBRATE OUR VOLUNTEERS WITH OUR 71st ANNUAL CHANTICLEER AWARDS.
We will be presenting awards for Best Production, Best Performers, and Best Designers, as well as honoring our top volunteers for the 2023-2024 season.

The Chanticleer Awards is an annual event dedicated to honoring the volunteers who made the past season possible. It begins with a cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m. with appetizers and beverages, and a cash bar will be available. The program/ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature performances from each show in the season. New for this year will be a performance from WMTC, Weathervane Musical Theatre Company, a pre-professional musical theatre training program for students interested in a career in the performing arts. There will also be awards given out in a “Tony Awards fashion.” Some of these awards include Best Lead Performer in a Musical, Best Sound Design, Best Featured Ensemble, etc. These awards are voted on by members of the community who have seen every show in the season. There are other awards given out to stand-out members of the Weathervane community, like the Top 25 Volunteers who are the 25 people who put in the most volunteer hours this past season. The entire program/ceremony usually lasts approximately 90 minutes and is a celebratory way to wrap up the work of the past season.

Each volunteer who logged and recorded a minimum of 50 hours during the 2023-2024 season is entitled to one free ticket. All other tickets are $15.
